Mitch Berke

Mitch is the Owner & Managing Partner at Back 9 Investments which he started in 2013.  Being an experienced real estate investor since 2005, Mitch began with the acquisition & operation of single family homes and expanded into large multifamily apartment communities.

Fueled by the concept of creating passive income to achieve financial independence, he helps accredited investors participate in real estate focused private equity investments.

After earning his Bachelors of Science in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin, Mitch has spent over 25 years in the high-tech and manufacturing industries with Fortune 500 companies in IT Sales & Consulting Engineering Leadership roles.

David Thompson

Founder Thompson Investing

David has strong experiences in real estate investing in both domestic and international projects covering single-family, multi-family and land development.  He earned his MBA in finance from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. degree from Arizona State University.  David spent over 20 years in high-tech management positions at Dell, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies.  At Lucent he managed a $2.5B investment portfolio and raised over $1B in funds for acquisitions.

After leaving the corporate world, David started Thompson Investing and has focused on raising private equity capital. 

 

Bill Portwood

Bill Portwood is the CEO of Financial Industry Consulting Services, LLC, a firm specializing in compliance, operational, and training solutions for the financial sector. With extensive experience in both regulatory and business aspects of finance, Bill founded the company to address industry needs with transparent, high-quality advisory services. His firm primarily serves broker/dealers and investment advisers, offering services such as audits, registration/licensing, and compliance program development. Prior to this role, Bill served as Chief Compliance Officer at Capital Investment Companies and as a Field Supervisor at FINRA. He holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia.
